True masculinity has nothing to offer but his life and his passions—both of which are fixed on actively seeking the kingdom, serving others, and denying himself. It doesn’t depend on stature or appearance, but the purity and strength of his heart.
True masculinity defends and fights for justice.
True masculinity doesn’t offer empty promises out side his control. It isn’t self-promoting. It doesn’t conform to the lure of materialism.
True masculinity is wrapped in genuine humility. A man who possesses true masculinity values guarding the woman’s heart because that is what God values.
True masculinity isn’t scared of his faults because his hope isn’t in the efforts of his flesh. Rather, his hope is in the righteousness of Christ that frees him to live without fear of condemnation and enables him to love others without condemning.
True masculinity desires to lead a woman as Christ leads the church, loving her and giving himself up for her.
True masculinity seeks true beauty and sees through superficial, egotistical, worldly beauty.

Scripture requires women to submit to their husbands. Wait for a man of God who upholds true masculinity, and the idea of submitting will not be so hard for you to swallow. To respect a man whose life is founded upon the love of God would be an honor—not a burden.
