It’s hard to be lonely and single in college.

Especially on the weekends.

I look around at all the hook ups, one night stands, and relationships going on all around me.

It’s in these times that I can hear the voice of the enemy whispering, ‘It would be so easy. What are you waiting for? You’ve never kissed a girl before, right? Why not try it just to see what it’s like?’

A lot of my friends think I don’t have urges because I’m ‘sold out for Jesus’.

Guys, let me be transparent with y’all.

I feel like me doing so is going to tell some people it’s okay to feel what I feel, that they’re not alone.

I would love to have a girl in my life.

I would love to have a girl who gets me, who understands my weirdness lol and is perfectly okay with it.

I would love to kiss a girl, to feel her lips upon mine and to feel her arms around me.

I would love to know what it’s like.

And trust me, when I see couples on campus, there is a part of my heart that screams out, ‘I. WANT. THAT.’

But you want to know something?

To my ladies, this next part is for you, so listen closely.

Some of you don’t know how f’ing valuable you are.

But I do.

Every time I see you wear tight fitting clothes, my heart breaks inside my chest.

Who told you that was what it took to be noticed, to be seen, to be loved?

Every time I see you guys in the arms of a guy who will probably never give you the time of day again, my heart smashes against my ribs.

Why?

Each and every one of you is priceless.

There will never be anyone who wears her hair quite the way you do, who laughs the way you laugh, who talks the way you talk, and who loves the way you love.

Please. Please. PLEASE!!!

Don’t trade your worth for a night of being desired, of being wanted.

Don’t give away your hearts to be in a relationship where the guy says He loves you and tramples on your heart repeatedly.

Take it from the heart a lonely dude.

You are worth more. Endlessly more.

How do I know?

Because I would give almost anything to know who she is, to know her name, and to have her next to me right now.

This is what drives me to become the best man I can be.

This is why I put up with being in the friend zone every time I have liked a girl up until this point.

By the Grace of God, I no longer play games with girls and act like someone I’m not to get them to like me.

Believe me I’ve tried it in the past.

It’s. Just. Not. Me.

I am too aware of how much you all are worth.

No matter what, I will lay myself down to show you how valuable you are.

Because someday, one of you will turn out to be her.

And she’s worth it all.
